Skills Strategy & AI Capability Lead 80-100%

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Skills Strategy & AI Capability Lead, to design and implement a skills-led approach that supports the growth and transformation priorities of Zurich’s Life, Health & Bank Distribution business. You will translate business strategy and AI-enabled operating models into the technical, functional and leadership capabilities Zurich’s Life, Health & Bank Distribution business needs for the future. You will lead the development of a practical skills framework, strengthen workforce insights and embed skills across talent, learning and workforce processes. A key part of the role will be designing capability-building approaches for new AI-enabled systems and workflows, helping employees transition from traditional task execution to effective human-AI collaboration.

What You Will Do

• Lead Life, Health & Bank Distribution skills strategy, framework, taxonomy and implementation roadmap.
• Translate business priorities and operating model changes into future capability requirements.
• Identify critical skills gaps and inform workforce planning, hiring, succession, upskilling and reskilling decisions.
• Shape technical learning for new AI-enabled systems, using simulations, active practice and learning in the flow of work.
• Build role-based and personalised learning pathways for different technical and proficiency levels.
• Embed skills across recruitment, performance, learning, succession, career development and internal mobility.
• Drive adoption by influencing senior leaders and equipping managers and employees to use skills insights effectively.
• Use Korn Ferry and other workforce data to generate actionable insights and measure capability growth, adoption and business impact.
• Lead cross-functional delivery across business, HR, Learning & Development, technology, product and data teams.

What You Will Bring

• Significant experience in skills strategy, strategic workforce planning, organisational development, talent, learning or transformation.
• Experience designing and implementing skills frameworks or skills-based talent practices in a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of how AI, automation and digital technologies are changing work and capability requirements.
• Expertise in designing practical, role-based learning for technical or operational transformation.
• A successful track record of leading enterprise change and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn workforce data into clear business recommendations.
• An agile and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, test approaches, measure outcomes and scale what works.
