Backend Developer Intern

Description

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of modern AI applications, including LLM-powered agents and copilots.
• Support the improvement and automation of our build, deployment, testing, and monitoring processes.
• Help design, implement, and operate reliable production and development environments.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Python Development: Practical experience with Python through university, personal, or professional projects. Familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django is an advantage.
• API Development: Basic experience designing, developing, testing, and documenting REST APIs, including authentication, error handling, and integration with external services.
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or a strong interest in learning how backend applications are deployed, operated, and monitored in the cloud.
• DevOps Fundamentals: Initial experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
• Databases: Basic knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases, data modelling, and integrating databases into backend applications.
• Technical Foundation: A good understanding of software architecture, networking fundamentals, application security, logging, and monitoring.
• Problem-Solving Skills: A curious, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership of defined tasks.
• Teamwork: An open-minded team player who enjoys collaborating in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills in English or German and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and project stakeholders.
