AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously improve production-grade AI applications powered by LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and multimodal AI.
• Develop robust Python backend services, APIs, and integrations that connect AI capabilities with enterprise systems and data sources.
• Build intelligent agents and end-to-end AI workflows capable of reasoning, using tools, interacting with APIs, and automating complex user requests.
• Take ownership of bringing AI solutions into production, including testing, deployment, monitoring, observability, and continuous optimization.
• Design scalable and reliable cloud architectures and contribute to the evolution of our shared AI platform and engineering standards.
• Evaluate and integrate new models, frameworks, and AI technologies where they create real value for our products and customers.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers, product teams, and customers to turn complex requirements into practical AI solutions.
• Share your knowledge within our international team and, depending on your experience, mentor other engineers.
• Take real ownership and bring your own ideas into products that are used by leading companies in Switzerland.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A solid foundation in computer science.
• Proven Experience: Extensive experience as a full-stack developer with a strong focus on backend technologies (Python preferred) and familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular).
• DevOps Proficiency: Expertise in Shell Scripting, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud services (AWS, Azure), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Server Provisioning, and Monitoring & Alerting techniques.
• Technical Skills: A good understanding of networking, databases, backup strategies, and disaster recovery scenarios to support robust and scalable applications.
• Team Player: An open-minded, solution-oriented team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English or German. Capable of interacting effectively with clients and team members alike.
