As a Senior Internal Auditor, Technology, Data & AI, you will partner with senior leaders, assess emerging risks, and provide valuable insights that strengthen business performance, governance and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technology-focused audits across data, Artificial Intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity and wider digital risk areas.
- Assess technology risks and evaluate related controls to identify gaps, themes and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to annual risk assessment and audit planning by sharing insights on emerging technology risks.
- Participate in multiple audits each year, providing subject matter expertise to other audit teams where required.
- Analyse root causes of control issues and recommend practical, business-focused actions to strengthen risk management.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders to discuss findings, challenge constructively and agree clear outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement across Internal Audit by bringing technical insight, curiosity and independent thinking.
Essential Requirements
- Strong technical experience across cloud, Artificial Intelligence and data with cybersecurity experience a bonus.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to risk, controls, governance or assurance-related activities.
- Proven self-starter who can work independently, manage ambiguity and deliver quality outcomes with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify practical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility, challenge constructively and influence outcomes through thoughtful, evidence-based discussion.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences.
Desirable Requirements
- Professional certification in cloud technologies, auditing, information security, cybersecurity or technology risk management.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence, data platforms or cybersecurity with relevant industry certifications preferred.

At Novartis, we’re committed to reimagining medicine together - and rewarding the people who make it happen. Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 137,900 to 256,100 CHF Annual. The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
