Postdoctoral Researcher in Fundamental Machine Learning
Role Summary
The Machine Learning Group at the Idiap Research Institute (Martigny, Switzerland) has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to our work on fundamental questions in machine learning and deep learning. Examples of our recent work are provided below. The position is fully funded. The candidate will be expected to conduct independent research while collaborating with members of our group.
Various optional opportunities for career development will be available, including the possibility to co-supervise Master's and PhD students, participate in ongoing collaborations with our international partners, and gain experience in the acquisition of research funding.

Your profile
- A strong track record of rigorous research, evidenced by publications at major AI/ML/CV/NLP venues
- A PhD (or equivalent research experience) in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or related disciplines
- Strong programming skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
