Switzerland-wide open-source hackathon series built on Apertus, the country's fully open large language model. It opens with an online hackathon from 1 to 16 October on red-teaming Apertus and localising it to Swiss languages and values, then moves on-site to Liebefeld near Bern (18-19 October), Zurich (27-28 November, at the AI Startup Center in Technopark), Basel (4-5 December), Lausanne (March 2027, at EPFL), and St. Gallen (13-14 May 2027), each with around 100 builders working on partner challenges. Top teams advance to the Grand Finals in St. Gallen on 14 May 2027, and every prototype is open-sourced. Free to join and open to AI/ML engineers, developers, researchers, and students.
